Museum of Poltakov exhibits 93 stone stelae with more than a thousand of intriguing rock images, which illustrate last 5000 years of Khakassia history. You may see there images of deer, horses, argali and birds. Some of the images may really impress, like the one showing severe battles of deer with long branching antlers. The most interesting stone stelae of museum are dated to Okunev culture (3 – 2 thousand B.C.), but the greatest amount of rock images belongs to Tagar culture (7 – 3 centuries B.C.). Many anthropomorphous images of Tagar period are exhibited here.
